I did not aspire to be a Project Manager, and, at one time, I would not take a job where project management was part of the duties. Things change. I’ve found that my ability to focus and desire to be organized are natural talents of a PM.
I would highly consider a Project Management role, if there was a clear path to upper management. I lead best when I’m in a leadership role, instead of continuous prodding to get other people to do their job.
These days, projects have resources worldwide and I have a great track record of working with people from different cultures, countries and time zones.
