I’ve always said that I’m the luckiest guy in the world – I have a great family, a fun life and the right opportunity always shows at the right time.
For example, you found me today, right? If you’re not a hacker or spammer, we should probably meet!
- I’ve been voted #1 in the world by peers & clients for Excellence in Enterprise Monitoring
- My children say I’m the #1 Dad
- My wife and girlfriend are the same (#1)
Growing up in the Savannah, Georgia area did have its perks, but we mostly lived in the country (Pooler) when there was a blinking light and probably 5,000 people.
I started working with my dad when I was 8 doing carpentry and built my 1st set of kitchen cabinets when I was 12 – the owner had to help me carry plywood while his buddies grilled burgers and laughed; they couldn’t believe a 12 year old kid was able to use a circular saw, much less build cabinets.
We raised pigs and usually had 2 that would grow to 300-400 pounds each and spent time each week getting leftovers from a few restaurants – no charge, but dirty work that no child would consider today.
As a pitcher, I would spend hours a day, sometimes 6 straight on weekends, throwing a baseball against the house. I had a pretty serious baseball accident though, so mom wouldn’t take me to practice anymore and here we are today.
