The higher I am on the food chain, the more I get done. I’m clear, direct and ready to listen, unless something is urgent, in which case, everyone is quick to listen to exactly what needs to be done now.
I spend a lot of time thinking and do my best thinking while walking, especially if there’s a lake nearby.
I am also very innovative and creative; a talent not many techies have. Some of my ideas are completely insane, but I have changed the direction of companies with a single, brilliant idea: more than once!
I’m not a tough boss, but I do have a knack of finding the right person for a job and finding ways to get people motivated; definitely a ‘big picture’ kind of guy, who sees where I want to take a company and surround myself with people smarter than me.
